Medina County is a county located in the state of Ohio, United States. As of the 2000 census, the population was 151,095. The 2004 projected population was estimated at 165,370. Its county seat is Medina and is named for Medina in Saudi Arabia, though it is pronounced with a long "I" sound. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 423 square miles (1,096 km²).422 square miles (1,092 km²) of it is land and 2 square miles (4 km²) of it (0.37%) is water.
